Some baby # 2 stuff

  • Oct. 28th, 2009 at 1:49 PM

Well I will be 9 weeks this weekend, and I am feeling better than I was. I blame most of how I was feeling on this cold/cough/bronchitis I had. I have been feeling pretty good since that has been going away. I am also so impatiently awaiting my first ultrasound next week! I can't wait to see the little bean :)

Pictures of the Nursery

With the exception of something for the wall above the glider, Grady's nursery is all finished.  I think for that area we will get some very simple frames and frame some pictures of us and the animals at the zoo.  We have a few other things for the wall that were gifts, but I am not sure any of them go very well.  We'll see.

My latest obsession has been the playroom. It totally functions right now and is very pleasant, but I want to make it more fun and exciting.  I have this furniture to work with (chair, loveseat, and couch - the cream wood furniture is on Craigslist as we speak):

Finishing up the nursery

Well I am almost done with G's room.  We painted before the furniture came in, hung the valances this weekend, are deciding on blinds right now, and are in the process of hanging things on the wall.  Because his old room had all of the murals that I painted on the walls, we didn't have as much space to hang things.  So I am thinking of getting something new to hang.  I think I want to do his name over the crib.  I plan on keeping the same theme for at least a couple more years, even once he is in a toddler bed (the crib converts and we have the bedding for it).  So I am thinking of getting letters that match his bedding off of eBay.  Here are a few options (from different vendors)...

Home decorating

We we got two big projects done today.  First, we hung the new mirrors we bought for the master bathroom.  We had the builders just give us a credit so we could get ones we really like.  It's different than my normal style, but I think they go really well with the look of the bathroom:

Then, I finished Grady's room.  Eric painted the base color.  I did the tan stripe and stamped the monkeys and elephants.  I think it came out cute!
