So I just won this Gymbo stuff on eBay for only $16! It is all NWT (new with tags) and in Grady's size for fall. Since it stays warm here for a very long time, I think the pants will work great - they can be worn rolled up or down. The bonus is that he had some of the same line (Aviator - one of my favorites!) for the spring that will still work in the fall.

And I love these. See these are a perfect example of why I actually love boys clothes:

One cute thing he started doing yesterday is that he will point at a trashcan and, with utter disdain, say "YUCK!" He really pronounces the "k" sound too, which is so funny. He does it to trash on the ground too. Guess it finally paid off that I say that EVERY TIME he tries to touch the trash. However, he still love to help by picking up crumbs off the floor, going to the trash, and throwing them out. When can we just avoid the trash altogether? :)
We went to the park yesterday and he was SO FREAKING SOCIAL. He visited just about every mom and baby there. A woman actually came over to my car as we were leaving (after he waved and said "hi" to her as she walked by) to tell me "he is the friendliest baby - I watched him visit with every person in the park". He was really turning on the cheese too - talking, giggling, flirting, and smiling. He got tons of compliments on his big eyes, and one woman told me he was the cutest baby she has ever seen over and over. How fun is that to hear, even if she says it 3 times a day? :)
We are off to Kindermusik this morning (a makeup since he was sick on Monday) and Eric will be home this afternoon.
Things have been better than expected in our house this week. Grady has been going to sleep quickly the past few nights and STTN, thank goodness! Sometimes when he is sick he gets up, especially if he has a cough. He has an insane appetite lately and ate a whole can of mandarin oranges at one sitting yesterday.
We have been on a quest for a boy Cabbage Patch Kid, but have not found one yet. G loves baby dolls, so I figured that I would get him one. He hugs them and pats them - so cute.
Unfortunately, he split his lip on a bin at Gymboree this morning. He cried for a second and then was fine - what a tough guy he is! It is a bit puffy, but nothing too bad. I called the doctor just in case, and there really is nothing else to do. It should heal quickly.
It's Gymbucks redemption time again! It's so bad because I already have WAY too many summer things for G. I have $75 in bucks now because I got more at class this morning (we get $25 each period for being members). That means I can get $150 worth of stuff for $75, which is too good to pass up. I may look for some spring sale stuff and get that in his size for the fall. But I am worried I will get cool weather stuff and it won't cool off until December. So I need to be sure to buy on the big side.
Eric returns tomorrow - yay! The whole weekend is supposed to be warm and sunny, so that will be nice. There is also a huge kid expo in town with all sorts of fun stuff for kids and babies.
Today is quite warm and sunny again (yesterday was in the 80's which felt so hot since we are not used to it yet). Grady has a friend coming over, so we may fill the baby pool and set up the Elmo splash mat I got him. The big pool doesn't open for a couple weeks.
In house news, we are hoping to make it to Thomasville this weekend to shop their home office sale. They have the customizeable desks, which are really nice.
In travel news, I am finding restaurants and activities I want to try in Hilton Head and Turks and Caicos. We are also trying to plan a short trip for my birthday - maybe Charleston or Myrtle Beach. It will just be the 3 of us, which will be fun. OR we may fly up to Mass, visit family, and hit the beach there.
OK - off to do some things while G naps!
Oh, I forgot to add that I found out yesterday that my jerk BIL is having a baby girl (the u/s was yesterday). I was glad to hear everything looks fine, even if I despise him and think he is evil. I don't like his wife much either. Mostly, I am happy for my MIL. I am sure she is excited for a granddaughter, since she only had sons and then has just the one grandchild (Grady). We have a had a fun two days. Yesterday we did the library story time in the morning. It is run by a great woman. She is so energetic and fun. We went to storytime where we used to live, and it wasn't nearly as good. It was funny too because we were doing a song where we sing different movements and then do them (nod your head, clap, sway from side to side). Well G had run across the circle to say hi to another baby, of course, and I was just watching him. He did EVERY SINGLE movement!!! I couldn't believe it!! I didn't realize he even knew half of them!
I met a new mom while I was there, and we said we definitely want to get together for a playdate next week. She has a 16 month-old daughter (It seems like all of G's friends are going to be girls!). Then, as I was leaving, I was chatting with a mom I have talked to before (she has a 15 month-old daughter), and I asked her if she wanted to go to the park (it was about 70 yesterday). She was all for it, so we decided to meet up at n elementary school playground after their naps. It was so much fun! I really like her, and G was hugging her daughter, which was so funny.
Today we had Gymboree in the morning, where G hugged some kids, did the obstacle courses like a pro (he is almost ready to move up to the next age group, so it is somewhat easy for him), and again was doing movements to some of the songs. He was also saying "BALL!BALL!" every time we saw one.
This afternoon I was going to go to the mall to hit Gymboree for a few more things for G and to go to PB for some curtains for the guest room. But it was WAY too nice so we went to the park. It was so funny because G was very mellow - he sat and collected acorns off the ground and then dumped them out over and over again. I really didn't have to chase him at all!
I am excited about this weekend. I am going shopping for some spring clothes and those other things at the mall. I just need another weekend, since last weekend was so rough!

We are having a good day so far. G slept until about 7. We had Gymboree this morning, and he had a blast - dancing, clapping, smiling, playing. It's such a great thing for him.
Right now someone is here replacing our freezer door since the stainless steel had an imperfection when our new fridge was delivered when we moved in. Someone is also coming (FINALLY) to pick up all the empty boxes from our move!!!
It is a really nice day (again - I am loving SC weather!), so we may play in the backyard once G gets up.
Tonight I am making a nice dinner and dessert (that's done - heart-shaped brownies with frosting and Valentine's decorations). We will have champagne and "break in" our new giant jacuzzi tub ;) It should be nice and relaxing.
The other thing that has been going on is major shopping for G! His spring/summer wardrobe is quickly filling out. My mom sent us all some Polo stuff as a V-day gift, so he got a cute seersucker shirt. I hit the ON sale the other day and really made out. Eric's mom also sent a package with some clothes, and I hit up Kohls and a REALLY nice consignment shop (the stuff looks brand new and is all nice brands) the other day. I'll post pictures of his stuff soon.
Since we have had to get so much for the new house, I am holding off on buying G any new clothes right now. He certainly doesn't need any more cold weather stuff, as it will be getting warm here in early March, most likely. So if anyone wants my $25 in Gymbucks, which unfortunately expires tonight, just send me a message. I'll get you the code for shopping online.
Grady and I did our trial class at Gymboree today, and we loved it! He did great and had so much fun. Of course, as usual, he was entertainment for the whole class. When they blew bubbles at the kids, he just kept saying "oooohhh!" and was smiling so huge and trying to eat them! It was adorable. So we got signed up for class. You get $20 off the initial sign-up fee if you sign up during your trial class. So it is $20 to sign up, $63/month for the first 6 months, and then $43/month. It's not bad because of all you get. That covers an hour-long class once/week. Then there are open play times where the kids can come use the equipment, which I know we will do, especially since we live so close. Additionally, you get all sorts of great coupons and deals on Gymboree clothes, as well as Janie and Jack clothes. I get Gymbucks every month and get to be part of private sales. Plus, there are private shopping times a few times per year for members. I LOVE their clothes, so I am excited about all that!
G is napping now - he was worn out! I'm not sure what we are going to do later, but it is nice out, so that's good.

pediatrician -Yesterday we went to Grady's new pediatrician's office. We had to just go fill out forms and stuff. We got several recommendations for this place, and it was very nice inside, so I am hopeful that we will like this one better than his last (we only had on doctor in network in our last city). As soon as they get his records from his old doctor, we will set up an appointment for him to just meet the doctor and everything.
neighbors- I thought it was so nice that our new neighbors stopped by the other night with homemade cookies and a card with their names, phone number, and email address. That was so sweet. Everyone here has been very welcoming.
cold - As you read this, imagine me whining the entire time :p I am sick of the cold! WTH is going on here!? Didn't we move to SC? I know the whole country has been pretty cold and most places are a lot colder, but 38 degrees for a high!? It has been cold since Friday, and I am so DONE with winter!!!! They were even talking about how freakishly cold it is here on CNN, since they have been down here for the primaries (they've been in Greenville a lot, actually!)
bathrooms- We need to get going on new bath stuff for all three bathrooms. Restoration is having their semi-annual sale, so we will get new towels and mats from there for our bath. For Grady's bath, since it is no longer the guest bath too, I want to make it special and fun. I am thinking of going with a jungle theme to match his room. I found a really cute shower curtain with monkeys embroidered on it at Target, so I may get that and start from there. For the gust bath, I think I am going to see what I can find at Stein Mart. If I don't have luck there, I will probably do RH for that one too.
storage- Well this doesn't sound exciting, but I am pretty excited that we have set up both of Grady's closets (his room and playroom) with storage systems. We got the white cube things that have pull-out fabric drawers. We even got cheetah print drawers for the one in his room! They are both huge walk-in closets, so we needed to do something to utilize the space. Now everything is so organized!
Gymboree- We are set to do our first class this Thursday! I am so excited to see how we like it. It's a free class, but we will probably get signed up while we are there.

We have been super busy, but here are some interesting things that have been going on...
