We had our belated anniversary dinner last night at High Cotton downtown, and it was wonderful! My friend came over after Grady was in bed and stayed here. I'll be watching her son on Sunday so they can go out to dinner for their anniversary (we were married the same year a week apart!). The foo was fantastic, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was perfect. It could not have been better. We relaxed and they let us take our time with our courses. We were there for over 2 hours! We shared a cheese plate of all local cheeses, then shared a Carolina Peach Salad (also all local ingredients - goat cheese, walnuts, peaches, and arugula). Then I had a bourbon-glzed pork chop on a bed of jalapeno grits and fried green tomatoes. YUMMMMM!
Grady never stirred and slept until about 6:30 this morning. It's getting better every morning since he was sick, so I won't complain. I slept in and then Eric took a nap once I got up. This evening we have a birthday party for a neighborhood kid at the pool. Grady is all excited and keeps grabbing the invitations, saying "I party!".
Oh, and since I never got to do it on our anniversary, due to things being crazy around here, I have to post the obligatory wedding photos as a walk down memory lane! I'll also post a few honeymoon photos because I recently scanned some. Excuse the crappy quality.
